The first Sunday every month at
The Saugatuck Rowing Club
The Day that the United States entered World War II was Pearl Harbor Day.
Our country was changed forever. Those years were spent fighting for freedom
in Europe and the South Pacific and there was a great deal of sacrifice asked of everyone.
However that generation gave everything so that we could prosper and live freely.
The music of the 1940’s was a balm to soothe the soul, and reminded us that after a time of great sacrifice, there would be peace again all around the world. It will possibly inspire us to see the parallels with our present time.
Suzanne Sheridan, Dave Childs (keyboards) and John Mobilio (standup bass) will be performing songs like : Ain’t Misbehavin’, You Made Me Love You, It Had to be You, As Time Goes On, I’ll be Seeing You, Somewhere Over the Rainbow and others. These songs will bring you back to the days that created the prosperity of the post war years.
