JOHN BRENNAN
Born and raised in San Diego, John began his professional career at the age of 21 as a ’session’ guitarist working for prominent LA record producer Larry Marks. Before long he was performing and recording with iconic CA rock and country rock artists like POCO, Chris Hillman, (Byrds, Flying Burrito Bros,) Bernie Leadon, (Eagles,) and Graham Nash. After soaking up as much of the rock world as he could handle, John relocated to NYC and accepted a job as a music producer at a major ad agency. Soon he had won Clio Awards in both music composition and production for Miller Genuine Draft and Campbells Soup. And being in the tri-state area also inspired John to explore his heavily Irish roots, and the next thing you know, he was performing and recording with All-Ireland Champions button accordionist John Whelan; All-Ireland Champion fiddler and head of the Irish Music Dept at Boston College, Sheila Falls Keohane; and the world renowned National Endowment for the Arts Fellowship winner and iconic Irish fiddler, Kevin Burke, (The Bothy Band, Patrick Street, Celtic Fiddle Festival.) So, the one thing we know for sure is…wherever John Brennan goes, great music follows!
