Mark Demchak

Mark fell in love with the Irish drum, (bodhran,) while on a cycling trip in Ireland that happened to coincide with the re-emergence of Traditional Irish music in its homeland. Hearing this primitive rhythmical instrument played with such skill while interweaving itself with the melodic instruments inspired Mark to learn how to play the bodhran as soon as he returned home, and he’s been playing with Irish groups and at Irish sessions both here and in Ireland ever since.
